Our warranty
9 Year Labour and Workmanship Warranty
Every installation and changeover our team completes is backed by our own nine-year warranty on the labour and workmanship. Here is exactly what that covers, what it does not, and how it sits alongside the manufacturer's product warranty.

Two warranties, two different things
Our 9 year labour and workmanship warranty
Applies to installations and changeovers we complete. It covers the work we did: ductwork, outlets and return air; refrigeration pipework, pressure testing and connections; the electrical, gas and water connections we made; condensate drainage; mounting and roof work; controls and commissioning. If a fault is caused by our installation work, we repair it at no cost for nine years from the installation date.
The manufacturer's product warranty
Applies to the equipment itself: the heater, cooler, indoor and outdoor units, controllers and components. Its length and conditions are set by the manufacturer and stated in your quote. On systems we have installed we lodge and manage manufacturer claims on your behalf.
What the 9 year warranty does not cover
The warranty is a voluntary warranty on our installation workmanship. It sits alongside, and does not replace, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. It does not cover:
- Standard service and repair visits, which carry the workmanship warranty stated on your invoice and the manufacturer's warranty on any part fitted.
- Manufacturer defects or equipment failures that are not caused by our installation workmanship; these are covered by the manufacturer's product warranty.
- Existing or reused ductwork, outlets, wiring, pipework or other components that were already in the home. Where we reuse an existing component at your request or because it suits the new system, that component and any performance limitation it causes are not covered by this warranty, unless the law makes us responsible.
- Consumables and normal wear: filters, pads, batteries, belts and similar items.
- Maintenance the manufacturer requires, and faults that arise because it was not done.
- Damage from misuse or neglect, vermin, corrosion, power supply problems, weather events, blocked drains or building movement.
- Work done by anyone else on the system after we installed it. Repairs, alterations or servicing by another party may void the workmanship warranty.
- Repairs we identify as high risk because of the age or condition of an existing system, which are carried out at your request without warranty as stated on the quote.
Concealed conditions, such as brittle old ductwork, aged pipework or asbestos discovered during the work, are dealt with as set out in our Terms and Conditions; we tell you before anything unexpected is done and quote it separately.
Why we offer it
The quality of a heating or cooling system depends heavily on the quality of its design and installation. We do the parts you cannot see properly: sizing, airflow, ductwork, placement and commissioning. Nine years is how long we are prepared to stand behind that work, and it is the reason we may not always be the cheapest quote.
Note: this page explains the warranty in plain language. The authoritative wording is in our Terms and Conditions, which also cover quotes, deposits, payments, variations, cancellations and warranty claims. View the full Terms & Conditions.
Questions we get asked
Does the 9 year warranty cover the equipment?
No. Our 9 year labour and workmanship warranty covers the installation work we do. The equipment is covered by the manufacturer's product warranty, which varies by brand and product and is stated in your quote. We manage manufacturer warranty claims on equipment we have installed.
Does a service or repair come with a 9 year warranty?
No. The 9 year labour and workmanship warranty applies to installations and changeovers we complete. Service and repair work is covered by the standard workmanship warranty stated on your invoice and by the manufacturer's warranty on any part fitted.
What does workmanship mean?
The work we did to install the system: ductwork and outlets, refrigeration pipework and connections, electrical and gas connections we made, drainage, mounting, controls and commissioning. If a fault is caused by our installation work, we fix it at no cost for nine years.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the house?
Ask us when you are selling; we will confirm the terms in writing for the new owner.
What happens if something is wrong?
Call us on the number on your paperwork. We diagnose the fault, and if it is our workmanship we put it right. If it is a product fault we lodge the manufacturer claim for you. If it is not right, we come back until it is.
