Woodend is one of the towns we are in most weeks. Because Woodend is so cold, the heating side of any decision comes first. A ducted reverse cycle system here has to be sized for frosty mornings and connected to ductwork that can carry its airflow, which in our experience usually means new ductwork rather than the ducts that served the gas heater. We explain that honestly at the site visit, and we will still recommend a new gas heater where it is the better answer for the house.

Woodend has period weatherboards and brick homes around the town centre, newer estates and larger blocks towards Woodend North and out towards Newham and Hesket, and rural properties in between.
